Plain terms for a plant care site. Using it means accepting them.

What this is, and is not

Plantroster provides general horticultural information and tools. It is not veterinary advice, medical advice, or professional horticultural consultancy, and no relationship of that kind is created by using it.

Two consequences worth spelling out. If an animal or a person may have eaten part of a plant, contact a vet, a doctor or a poison control centre — do not rely on a web page, including this one. And before applying any pesticide or treatment, read and follow that product's label, which overrides anything written here.

Accuracy

Considerable effort goes into making the data here correct, and its provenance is stated on the page rather than assumed — but plants, climates and individual conditions vary, and no guarantee of accuracy or fitness for a particular purpose is given. Decisions you take about your plants, your pets and your household remain yours.

Your account and your content

You keep ownership of everything you upload — photographs, notes, the roster itself. You grant only the permission needed to run the service: to store that content, display it back to you, and pass a photograph to the reading service when you ask for it.

You agree not to upload content you have no right to upload, not to use the service unlawfully, and not to attempt to disrupt it or extract other users' data. Accounts doing any of those may be suspended.

Automated features

Photograph readings are generated by an automated system and can be wrong. They are offered as proposals to confirm, never as settled fact, and identification never overwrites what you have recorded. Weather-driven reminders depend on third-party forecast data and on the accuracy of what you have entered about your own plants and their locations.

Availability

The service is provided as-is and as-available. It may be changed, interrupted or discontinued. Keep your own copy of anything you cannot afford to lose.

Liability

To the extent permitted by law, liability for any loss arising from use of this site — including damage to plants or property — is excluded. Nothing here limits liability that cannot lawfully be limited.
